Job description
We are seeking an Office Administrator who is keen on becoming an important part of our exciting technology company. Skylark Lasers is a leading-edge photonics company based in Edinburgh and trusted by clients worldwide.
Responsibilities
You'll support our Purchasing, Logistics, and Sales team in our Edinburgh office with inventory management and shipping logistics.
• Efficiently manage telephone and email enquiries
• Correctly update information on excel spreadsheets
• Order and monitor supplies
• Record transactions
• Update stock inventory
• Receive, unpack, label and store stock items
• Arrange monthly stock take and update records as appropriate
• Maintain databases
• Complete customs documents and arrange shipments
• Resolve logistics queries
• Assisting Purchasing, Logistics and Sales teams with ongoing tasks and projects
• General administration tasks
Required qualifications & experience
• Administration experience
• Accurate data entry skills
• Able to manage databases
• Experienced in using Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Able to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle changing priorities.
• Previous purchasing experience desirable.
• SAGE experience is a bonus.
