Success in the role comes from taking ownership of creative briefs, managing multiple priorities, and aligning Skylark Lasers’ materials to our brand.

You will work closely with sales and marketing to develop sales enablement and marketing content, support events, strengthen the company’s visual identity, and create materials that help customers understand our products and applications.

Responsibilities
  • Define a consistent visual identity and develop templates and brand guidelines aligned to your vision
  • Update and maintain marketing materials including brochures, product flyers, presentations, exhibition graphics, advertisements, case studies, and digital assets
  • Support the development of sales enablement materials including pitch decks, customer presentations, proposal templates, product comparisons, and application-focused content
  • Manage day-to-day website updates, including uploading content, refreshing imagery, and maintaining accurate product and company information
  • Create and schedule content for social media
  • Support the planning and delivery of conferences, exhibitions, product launches, webinars, and customer events
  • Coordinate event materials including exhibition graphics, presentations, signage, merchandise, printed collateral, and digital promotion
  • Maintain organised libraries of brand assets, photographs, templates, presentations, videos, and marketing materials
  • Support basic photography, video editing, animation, and motion-graphics requirements where appropriate
  • Help maintain the marketing calendar and coordinate deadlines across campaigns, events, content, and design projects
  • Continuously develop product, application, and market knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Must have the right to work full time in the UK
  • Qualification or equivalent experience in graphic design, visual communication, marketing, or a related discipline
  • Strong graphic design and visual communication skills
  • Experience creating materials for digital and printed channels
  • Proficiency with design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma)
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining visual and brand consistency
  • Adaptable and willing to support a broad range of marketing, design, and event activity

Desirable criteria
  • Experience maintaining websites or working with content management systems
  • Experience supporting conferences and exhibitions
  • Familiarity with basic digital marketing, email marketing, SEO, or social media analytics
  • Experience briefing or liaising with printers, suppliers, agencies, or external creative partners
  • Experience producing materials for sponsors, commercial partners, distributors, or international audiences
  • An interest in learning about technical products, applications, customers, and markets

Sales Graduate

Job description

We are looking for someone who enjoys learning how technology is applied in the real world and is motivated by speaking with customers, solving problems, and uncovering new opportunities.

This is an opportunity for a graduate or early-career candidate to develop a career as part of a growing laser engineering business. You will gain exposure to a wide range of applications, industries, and international customers while working closely with experienced commercial and technical teams.

The role suits someone who is naturally inquisitive, enjoys meeting new people, and is confident exploring conversations beyond the initial enquiry. Rather than simply responding to requests, you will learn how to identify customer challenges, understand market dynamics, and recognise where new opportunities may exist.

You will work closely with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to support technical sales activity and grow global markets.

Responsibilities
  • Support and qualify inbound enquiries from customers and distributors
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and customer communication history
  • Learn about customer applications, technical requirements, and commercial challenges
  • Support the sales process from initial enquiry through to quotation and follow-up
  • Support preparation of quotations, proposals, and supporting technical documentation
  • Work closely with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to support customer requirements
  • Attend customer meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and demonstrations as required

Essential criteria
  • Must have the right to work full time in the UK
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Curious mindset with an interest in understanding customer needs and applications
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy

Desirable criteria
  • Degree qualified, or working towards a degree, in engineering, physics, photonics, or a related technical discipline
  • Previous internship, placement, retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience
  • Exposure to engineering, scientific, or manufacturing environments
  • Interest in lasers, photonics, optics, or scientific instrumentation
  • Experience attending conferences, exhibitions, or networking events
