In this role you'll be expected to contribute your own ideas and take ownership of assigned projects, tasks, and investigations, with a focus on improving our build procedures, build quality and products we supply to our customers globally.
The successful candidate will collaborate with our dynamic, innovative team in a fast-paced start-up environment in Edinburgh.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
Practical experience and understanding of laser alignment
Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
Ability to interpret detailed technical information and convey to colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to multitask and assess, analyse, and find solutions to problems
Work well within a team and interfacing with customers
Degree in STEM subject
Eligibility to work full-time in the UK
Desirable:
PhD or MSc in relevant field in Physics or Engineering
Experience with designing and modelling of complex optical systems
Experience in 3D design software packages: Solidworks, SolidEdge etc.
Software experience in Python, C++, OpticStudio, COMSOL
